Campbell River Wedding Photographer | Matthew & Markella
As a local Vancouver Island Wedding Photographer, I get to travel to some amazing locations. On June 9th, 2018, I had the pleasure of photographing a wedding at Telegraph Cove Resort.
As a secluded part of Vancouver Island, it gave me the same feelings I can only explain as the ones I get on the beaches of Tofino. Just a sense of curiosity, freedom, and relaxation. The calm of this resort was perfect for a wedding, and the ceremony was held right on the dock overlooking the ocean.
It's not everyday you get to photograph a wedding in Telegraph Cove. The majority weddings I photograph are in Campbell River or Victoria so this was quite the treat for me. While the bride and groom were getting ready, you could feel the love in the air.
There was also a sense of nervousness. I believe when you know this is the perfect person for you, excitement and nerves go hand in hand.
Once everyone was finished putting on their wedding dress, suits, and all the final details, it was time for the ceremony.
What a view, and what a wedding. The details were above and beyond. The entire wedding ceremony was overlooking the cove with beautiful ocean blues, forest greens, and even bright reds from the 'barn.'
There were tears, and laughter as the nerves started to fade during this Telegraph Cove Wedding Ceremony. Immediately after the ceremony, friends and family gathered to congratulate the couple. After a fun group photo (I would highly recommend having a Wedding Party and Wedding guest photo done), we then moved to some family photos!
... And of course, wedding party photos at Telegraph Cove Resort!
Did I mention that Matt surprised Markella with a song? Right after their first dance together, he pulled out a mic and sang. It was so beautiful. How often do people sing to one another? I loved every minute of it.
I mean just look at the way they look at each other. Who wouldn't want that.
You can't go wrong choosing to get married at Telegraph Cove. Every piece of this wedding was stunning and unique from the resort rooms, to the ceremony view, to the reception table set up. I mean seriously look at these table settings.
If you have been considering a wedding in Telegraph Cove BC, shoot me a message because there are so many amazing benefits to a wedding day here.
Having dinner in the Telegraph Cove Whale Museum was one of the most unique wedding receptions I have ever photographed. Just wow.
Also, did I mention how fun this wedding was? I usually don't share images after the reception but they just had such a good time. I hope the bride and groom can cherish these wedding photos forever.
I loved attending this wedding. There wasn't any service or wifi which also added to the day. Everyone was present. Everyone was together.
I wish Markella and Matt many more years of happiness and love together.
